What is Life Coaching?
Life Coaching is an amazing process that empowers you to live a more balanced and fulfilled life. It helps you go from where you are to where you want to be. It is a time of self-discovery that helps you uncover and identify what keeps you from reaching your goals and pursuing your dreams.
What is the difference between Coaching and Therapy?
therapy, the therapist's typical function is to help clients "fix" a problem, overcome an issue, and/or manage mental illness. The focus is usually on helping clients deal with the past. The therapist-client relationship is often based on an expert-patient model. In
coaching, on the other hand, we focus on the now and on the future. There is little emphasis placed on the past. Coaches help you achieve your goals by identifying and working through blocks, so you can create a life filled with greater meaning and passion. Coaches also help people who feel "stuck" to see and create new opportunities to get more out of life. Coaches believe you are the "expert" in your own life, and become partners with you during the coaching process.
What are the topics most discussed in Life Coaching sessions?

What types of people hire Life Coaches?
People from all walks of life can work with professional coaches, such as singles, marrieds, divorced, retiree, expats, empty nesters, teens, parents, professionals... the list goes on! Life coaching is not limited to any type of person, but it is best suited for those who want to take action to improve their lives and are willing to do the work needed to get there.
Why do people hire a Coach?
The achievement of goals is something that comes more quickly and easily as a result of the coaching process. You and your coach become a team, focusing on your agenda, goals, and needs. Coaches help you tap into what you really want for your life. Working with a coach, you are motivated to take more actions toward your goals than you would take on your own. The coaching process provides tools and structure to help you stay on tasks with your goals. Additionally, you will find the journey to self-empowerment more enjoyable with a partner cheering for you!
What can I expect to gain in working with a Life Coach?
You will gain greater focus, clarity, confidence, energy, and empowerment to achieve your goals. Life coaching will cause a shift in how you perceive yourself and how you relate to the world, so that positive change is sustainable long after the coaching partnership has concluded. You will also notice that positive change in one aspect of your life often spills over to the other areas as well. The happier we are, the more we attract positive experiences into our lives.
What if I don't have any specific goal, but I want to improve my life overall?
Life coaching is very well suited for people who don't have a specific goal, but want to enhance all or some areas of their lives (Relationships, Family/Parenting, Personal Development, Career/Profession, Finances, Health, Fun & Enjoyment, and Spiritual) to create more balance, happiness, and fulfillment. Often people don't know what they are looking for, but can sense there is something more to life. Working with a coach allows you to tap into "what's missing" in order to create a life of greater meaning!
How do the coaching sessions work?
It starts with a phone call or Skype session so we can discuss your goals, dreams, and challenges. From there, we will design a plan of action for you to break through what is holding you back from success. We will work together to uncover obstacles, explore different perspectives, and celebrate successes. I ask questions, confront, investigate, and encourage you to make discoveries. During the sessions special techniques and coaching tools are used for you to reach your goals faster. Each session is tailored to the client and will vary based on individual needs.
Is coaching over the phone as effective as face-to-face coaching?
Yes, absolutely! Actually, I believe coaching by phone is often more effective than face-to-face. People new to coaching are sometimes surprised to learn that most coaching is done by phone (or Skype, with the camera off). Coaching via telephone allows you to be "in your own head" and not unconsciously tuned into the coach's body language and facial expressions. You will be better able to connect to, and stay focused on, your own inner wisdom. Coaching via phone allows both you and me to stay connected to our intuition.
How long do people generally work with a Life Coach?
The number of sessions depends on your needs and desires. However, to experience the full effectiveness of a Life Coaching program it is suggested that you make an initial three-month commitment. At the end of the three months, progress is evaluated and options can be discussed if you wish to continue the coaching process.
